Apply to host ADGC 2024

Applications are now open for clubs and/or Organisations to apply to host the 2024 Australian Disc Golf Championships.

NSW last hosted the premier national event in 2016 and in 2024 the Australian Disc Golf Championships return to NSW. There will be a 7 year wait before it returns again as it rotates amongst the other states.

If you wish to apply, please fill out the following form linked at the bottom of the page. Please note, it is expected that you will be able to provide a detailed document as a part of the application process. ADGC is quite a significant event on the ADG calendar and the requirements reflect this.

Any document provided should be a maximum of 5 pages and address each of the following:

  1. Details about the hosting Club or Organisation
  2. Proposed Venue(s)
  3. Proposed Tournament Director(s)
  4. Outline the demonstrated, relevant experience of proposed TDs and Club/organisation in
    the hosting of major disc golf events.
  5. Can the proposed venue meet and exceed the minimum Australian Disc Golf Tournament
    standards? Please address each of the criteria stated in these standards. (Note that these
    standards are subject to review as the game evolves over coming years – the successful host
    will be informed of any changes in requirements by ADG Board).
  6. Please provide a brief description of the following facilities and amenities at the proposed
    venue? If the proposed venue cannot accommodate any of the below, please provide a brief
    explanation as to how this will be addressed for the event.
    a) HQ Area
    b) Warm Up and Practice Area
    c) Onsite and Local Area Accommodation
    d) Onsite and Local Area Dining
    e) Options in the local area/ region to entertain/ occupy players and families when not
    competing.
    f) Onsite Toilets
    g) Onsite showers/ change rooms…etc
    h) Space and after-hours access for additional activities (Eg: social activities, glow
    rounds…etc)
  7. Local transport options and infrastructure to allow travelling players to access the event.
  8. Any advantages or potential concerns worth consideration for the proposed venue (eg:
    exclusive use of venue, relationships with management bodies, availability of setup/prep
    time at venue)
  9. Please outline any established or developing relationships with sponsors, organisations,
    government bodies, media which may aid in elevating the profile of the event.
  10. Any additional considerations which you feel should be taken into account with your
    application.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of 4 experienced and respected members of the Australian
Disc Golf community including two NSW-based reps from the ADG board and a representative from
NSW DG who may be a representative of one of the NSW DG Clubs who are not applying to host the
ADGC 2024. The 4th panel member will be a non-NSW-based ADG Board representative.

Applications will be open until the 31st of October 2022 and NSW Disc Golf will evaluate the submissions in the weeks thereafter. The intention is to announce a winner prior to the end of the calendar year.
